CAWP Promotes Joint-Training with Bid-well Course

As part of the Association’s efforts to work with the Unions to promote more joint training between the various Union Apprenticeship programs, the Bid-well Machine Joint Training was held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the new Carpenters Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program site. Thirty-three apprentices, craftsmen, foremen, supervisors, and project managers were provided with hands-on and classroom training involving machine setup and paving procedures.

The training was sponsored by CAWP, the Greater Pennsylvania Regional Council of Carpenters, the Western Pennsylvania Laborers Training Program and the Western Pennsylvania Operating Engineers Program. A special thank-you to the Joseph B. Fay Company for donating one of its Bid-well machines for the course.
