8:00 a.m. – Remaining Positive in Times of Crisis – Tyler Enslin
Estrella Ballroom

In a recent study conducted by Ipsos, 60% of adults surveyed globally report experiencing stress to the point where they feel unable to cope, while 51% of Americans view mental health as a top concern in their life. Many can relate to these sentiments even during normal times, but during times of crisis these issues are most certainly magnified. Of course, challenging times in themselves take on very different forms. Whether it is a stressful work project, conflict with another individual, financial struggles, health issues, family problems, or a national or global crisis, the principles in this highly interactive program have been designed to help.

As a crisis can affect multiple areas of life, this content has been customized to impact both career and personal aspects of living.  Attendees will learn strategies that can help them to control stress levels, build habits to promote growth, and focus on opportunities. Whether currently dealing with a major crisis, or just desiring to be prepared for the next set of challenges, participants can be confident implementing the practical concepts from this training session.

10:00 a.m. –  Team Building Activity – all attendees welcome

Photo Scavenger Hunt
Estrella Ballroom

Each team will be equipped with a team packet, map, and nothing else but their wits and sense of adventure! After being given the rules and criteria of the Photo Scavenger Hunt, teams will receive a puzzle or a riddle that will lead them to their first stop and next clue. Once the team determines where the location is, the team must follow the instructions and take a picture on their provided tablet as proof! Once the photo is taken, they will receive their next puzzle or riddle.

Team members must work together to accomplish their mission. While some of the hunt items may sound impossible (get your photo taken with a bull), we promise they are not. Teams will just need to use their imagination, maps, and a lot of ingenuity to get the task done.

The first team to meet the coordinators back at the meeting point with the most missions accomplished wins!

This activity is suitable for all attendees. Registration is required.

PLAN YOUR VISIT

Scottsdale enjoys more than 330 sunny days each year, which means pool season runs year-round, hiking trails and golf courses are always open, and any time is a great time to visit.

Winter in Scottsdale is about as perfect as it gets. Think sunny, blue skies and daily highs hovering near 72 degrees (22C) from December though mid-February. Be prepared with a few layers, however, for the evening temps that can dip into the 40s after the sun goes down!

THINGS TO DO

Onsite Dining

Sumptuous steaks, bold, American cuisine and year-round al fresco options are just a small sampling of the unforgettable restaurant experiences found at The Phoenician. From private to poolside, laid-back to luxurious, The Phoenician presents eight diverse dining venues, along with a wide array of special culinary events throughout each season.

An Oasis for Swimming

Providing views of both the resort and Camelback Mountain, our expansive pool setting features cabanas for rent, a Kids Zone and poolside dining at Kalio Kabobery for an afternoon of relaxation and fun.

Kids Zone

The Kids Zone, showcasing a tree house complete with a swaying bridge, sails and a helm for children’s inner pirate to explore, also features a splash pad with spray guns, falling buckets of water and shooting water spouts.

The area also includes a 197 ft. twisting water slide – for guests 42″ and taller.

ATHLETIC CLUB

Our athletic club features a game room on the first floor, with video, arcade, and board games, pool, foosball, and shuffleboard. The 24 hour fitness center, located on the second floor, includes 4,600+ square feet of state-of-the-art equipment to fulfill all your workout needs. Bicycles, tennis, and pickleball are also available.

SPA

The Phoenician Spa rises in celebration of the individual spirit, nurturing and contemporary in its approach to iconic service, relaxation and overall well-being. At its essence is a collection of exclusive offerings, transformative in nature – effecting peace, purity and strength well beyond the spa experience.
