Where did you go to school and what was your major?

I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

How long have you worked in the construction industry?

I started working for Fay in 2010, so about 13 years. 

What was your first position in the industry and what do you do today?

I started out as a Project Engineer, and today I am a Project Manager.

Why do you think this is a great industry for women to consider when looking at career paths?

There is a growing demand for people in this industry and there are a variety of career paths available.

Looking forward, how do you think women will continue to make an impact on the industry?

I think the number of women in the industry will continue to grow, creating a more diverse workforce.

What do you enjoy most about the industry?

I enjoy the variety of the work and the problem-solving. Every day is different and there is always something new to learn.

What would you do if you DIDN’T work in construction?

I would probably work in another hands-on-related technical field.
